I want to start this post by telling you what this IS NOT about, because I know a lot of people will jump on the anti diet culture shaming. This challenge is NOT:

  • A strict workout plan
  • A strict diet plan
  • An all or nothing effort
  • A New Years “resolution”

Okay now that that’s out of the way, lets talk about what it IS:

  • A way to be mindful of your self care in terms of physical activity

I could go on for hours about the benefits of exercise and being active, but I won’t. What I will say is that in a time where most of us are faced with lockdowns, social isolation, and gyms being closed, being active can easily be forgotten. January is also known as the most depressing month of the year. This comes as no surprise for most people, and I want to make it my goal for January to practice self care. My favourite way of practicing self care is physical activity because it clears my mind, pushes me to be stronger, and makes me feel really good. Who is with me?? Here is the calendar:

RULES:

Well, there really are no rules. There is no workout plan to follow, no time limits, no diet. Here is what you’ll do:

  • I give you a 30 day calendar for January
  • Each day you fill in your activity (I find it easiest to use emojis)
  • At the end of each week (Sunday), share your calendar with me on Instagram via your stories (don’t forget to tag me!)
  • Rest days are encouraged

Here is an example:

At the end of the month, I will randomly pick someone that has shared their calendar with me for the 30 days and send you a special something. In order to be considered for the special gift you MUST share your calendar and tag me in your stories via instagram (this is my only way to track it).
