They come together with only a few easy steps and minimal ingredients, make them at the start of the week for a convenient healthy snack or lunchbox option!
WHAT YOU NEED
Fruit puree: choose your fruit and blend well (in a blender)
Fruit juice: helps smooth out and blend the fruit
Pure beef gelatin: choose a high quality grass fed option, this is what makes them “gummy”
Honey: for sweetness
STORAGE
Fruit snacks will keep up to 5 days in your fridge (if they last that long).. store in an airtight container.
TIPS
You can use straight juice if you choose, make sure it’s a pure juice with no sugar added/not from concentrate. I prefer using a real fruit and juice 50/50 mix.
IN THIS RECIPE
My first mixture is blueberry puree and coconut water (purple fruit snacks), my second mixture is mango puree and orange juice (yellow fruit snacks). Feel free to experiment with your own flavours!
